Direct Field Support (DFS) Specialist – Residential Electrical Sales

Five Or Free Electrical, Heating & Air Solutions is looking for an experienced residential electrical professional who understands electrical systems, enjoys working with homeowners, and can confidently guide customers through repair, restoration, and upgrade decisions.
This is not a cold-calling or lead-generation position.
Our Promise Keepers perform a comprehensive electrical assessment of the home. As a Direct Field Support (DFS) Specialist, your responsibility is to review the findings, educate homeowners on the condition of their electrical system, explain available solutions, present financing options, and help customers confidently move forward with the solution that best fits their home's needs.
We're looking for someone who understands residential electrical systems first—and sales second.
Responsibilities
- Meet with homeowners through the Bay Area and possibly Sacramento following a completed electrical assessment.
- Review the condition of the home's electrical system using verified findings.
- Explain electrical deficiencies, safety concerns, and recommended solutions in a way homeowners understand.
- Present repair, restoration, panel upgrade, rewire, EV charging, generator, surge protection, and other electrical solutions.
- Educate homeowners on electrical safety, reliability, code modernization, and protecting their investment.
- Present financing options and payment solutions.
- Prepare and review estimates, contracts, and financing documents.
- Work closely with our Promise Keepers to ensure every recommendation is technically accurate.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience built on honesty, professionalism, and trust.
- Follow all company systems, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of residential electrical experience (service preferred).
- Strong understanding of residential electrical systems, including:
- Main service upgrades
- Panel replacements
- Subpanels
- Branch circuits
- Troubleshooting
- Rewiring
- Grounding & bonding
- AFCI/GFCI protection
- Surge protection
- Ability to identify electrical deficiencies and explain solutions clearly.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Preferred
- Residential electrical sales experience.
- Experience presenting estimates to homeowners.
- ServiceTitan experience.
- Financing presentation experience.
- Generator, EV charger, or solar knowledge.
- Leadership or mentoring experience.
